Cards in the making.....

Veteran's Day Card Kits

Several ladies from work got together and made card kits to use at work for a card making project on Veteran's Day. We cut paper to fit our cards which we were able to obtain at Hobby Lobby which are 4 x 5 1/2 which saves paper when you are using 12x12 sheets. Envelopes were stuffed with enough supplies to make one card. We came up with several designs and used the paper to make those first and then used scraps to make other card kits. Sizzix dies were used to cut out Thank You and Stars. Xyron was used to apply the Thank You. Other than cards and glue that was all that was needed to complete a card. 450 kits were made and we are mailing them on Monday. These are some of the completed cards which we sat our for employees to sign. A box was made to collect the cards.

Marcia during the Scrap Pink event at Cord's Camera.

This project was completed during Volunteer Week at work. We made exploding boxes which are boxes that can be used as picture frames and a card to match. These were filled with candy and given to the Knightstown Children's Home which was scheduled to close. We made 109 boxes and 109 cards!
This was our first mailing to Servicemen from the group where I work. At that time, we sent them to a specific troup. Our next mailings went to Cards for Heroes since the troup we were sponsoring came home! This is my sister, Marcia who assisted me with the project.
